Madeline Bainbridge was a "has-been actress" who appeared in "The Magic Circle". A man who worked for her convinced her she had magic powers and made her, her maidservant, and himself participate in a "magic" ritual every night. Jupiter Jones convinced her that this man was only trying to steal her money after spying on her during the ritual. Ms. Bainbridge fired and arrested the man with help from Clara, the maidservant, and The Three Investigators.
